Hi, my name is Capt. Gene Patena:

Everyone calls me Geno.  Let me be your guide to fun-in-the sun on Lake Erie's shimmering waters and offer you a chance to match wits with Ohio's famous game fish.  I want to hear you yell  "GET THE NET", "GET THE NET" over and over again.  My associates and I will make every effort to make your day enjoyable and successful; whether it's relaxing on Lake Erie or enjoying action packed fishing.  Each trip is tailored to meet your needs and fishing experience.  I make it a point to go the extra mile!  So, give me a call.

Custom made 30' Cherokee Hardtop, Great Lakes Charter Edition with a 11 1/2' beam.  Twin fuel injected 300 HP engines with speeds to quickly and safely cruise to your fishing location.  U.S.C.G. documented vessel.

Reel Time is docked in a boat house at the end of Curran Street.  The number on the door is 839.

We're just 5 minutes from the famous Cedar Point Amusement Park.  Many of our customers fish a half day, then enjoy Cedar Point in the afternoon/evening. 

  Charter Policy

• Charters are a full 8, 6, or 5 hours dock to dock. Trips may be extended.
• A $ 50.00 deposit is required for reservations.  Payment may be made by cash or check.  Checks payable to Capt. Gene Patena.
• Cancellations made 14 days in advance will receive a full refund.  Cancellations due to weather conditions or any other reason is at the captains discretion.  In such an event another date will be offered or a full deposit refund may be given.
• Charter confirmation will be forwarded to the person scheduling the charter.
• Illegal drugs of any quantity are not permitted onboard.
• Start time is normally 7 a.m.
• Flexible departure times to fit your schedule

Why book a charter?

A person can charter several times a year for a fraction of the cost of maintaining and outfitting a big water boat!  Fishing with an experienced captain puts you where the fish are with the most sophisticated equipment and the maximum of safety.  No worries, just sit back relax and catch fish.

• Valid Ohio fishing license (not required if under 16) <purchase a license on-line here>
• Proper clothing for weather
• Hat, Sunglasses, Suntan lotion, Camera, etc.
• Soft-Soled Shoes - Please avoid black-soled shoes
• Food and beverages (CAN BEER IS OK)
• One cooler for taking fish home
• Motion sickness medicine (if needed)
